London + Regional Properties, a hotel investment company, is seeking approval for a 10-acre property located at 5800 Blue Lagoon Drive in Miami. The site is situated just south of the bustling Miami International Airport and currently houses the Pullman Miami Airport, a 281-room hotel built in 1986. In 2019, London + Regional Properties acquired this property for $48.65 million.
The proposed development plan includes two eight-story apartment buildings with a total of 600 units on the existing parking lot area. Three parking garages will also be constructed – one for each building – providing a total of1,344 spaces; with1,020 dedicated to the apartments and an additional324 reserved for hotel guests. The garage near the hotel will also feature6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
