Poag Development Group (Poag) has announced its acquisition of RiverTown Crossings, a 1,267,272-square-foot enclosed mall located in Grandville, Michigan. According to Poag CEO Josh Poag, the company was drawn to the property’s prime location and strong position within the greater Grand Rapids area.
“We always prioritize location when considering acquisitions,” said Poag. “In this case, we were particularly impressed with the site in Grandville and its proximity to residential areas. We are excited about utilizing our redevelopment expertise to reimagine both the interior and exterior of this property and its role within Kent County.”
RiverTown Crossings is a two-story super-regional shopping mall featuring five anchor stores: Macy’s, Kohl’s JCPenney Celebration Cinemas ,and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
As part of their revitalization plans for the mall,Poags aims to add new uses and activate underutilized parking fields. The Memphis-based developer will be partnering with JLL as their strategic management and leasing partner in order maximize potential opportunities for growth at this property.
This latest acquisition by Poags marks another step towards expanding their portfolio while also bringing new life into an established shopping destination.
