These investments will help prepare students for careers in high-demand fields such as healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and skilled trades. The Texas State University at Round Rock campus is set to begin construction on a new $52 million facility called Esperanza Hall in November. This building will house the College of Health Professions and also feature a life sciences incubator to support future startups.
Meanwhile, Austin Community College’s Round Rock campus is planning for a $75 million advanced manufacturing program that will focus on automotive, construction and welding programs. Additionally, ACC officials have plans to expand their health science programs at this location.
At TSTC in Hutto, there are plans underway for an advanced manufacturing program as well as a $54 million expansion of the industrial systems technology program. These initiatives demonstrate the commitment of these institutions towards equipping students with skills necessary for success in today’s job market.
