Onni Group, a Vancouver-based developer, has released renderings for its proposed multi-phased development known as Halsted Landing. Located at 700 W. Chicago Avenue, the site was acquired by the developer in 2022 for approximately $45 million.
The project will consist of a total of 2,451 residential units with over 1,000 feet of accessible riverwalk space and nearly two acres of outdoor space. According to reports from the Chicago Sun-Times , there will be a mix of market-rate and affordable units available.
The first phase is set to include 688 residential units with an additional phase delivering more than 500 units and a third phase offering a total of 1,221 units. The towers will also feature ground-floor retail spaces.
Situated north of Bally’s planned one-million-square-foot casino and hotel complex along the Chicago Riverfront area,the project is designed by Goettsch Partners . If approved by the Chicago City Council,the development is expected to be built in three phases with towers reaching up to heights up to650 feet tall.The estimated completion date for Halsted Landing is2037.
