Walgreens Boots Alliance, a leading retail and pharmacy company based in Deerfield, Illinois, has announced the closure of two distribution centers in Florida and Connecticut. This decision is part of the company’s efforts to reduce costs and improve its operational structure.

According to Walgreens spokesperson Marty Maloney, this move is aimed at better serving their patients and customers by streamlining capacities. As a result of these closures, nearly 700 employees will be laid off.
