Standard Communities is proud to announce the groundbreaking of a 240-unit affordable community in Woodbridge, VA. This project, known as Jefferson Plaza Apartments, is located in Prince William County and represents an investment of $67.5 million.
Funded by Virginia Housing and Freddie Mac, Jefferson Plaza Apartments will be situated on the former site of a shopping center. The transit-oriented development will feature a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with 354 parking spaces available for residents. Additionally, amenities such as a 3,000 square foot club room, co-working space, fitness center,and secure bike storage will be offered to enhance the living experience for residents. A playground and dog park are also included within this community’s design.
According to Scott Alter – co-founder and principal at Standard Communities – “We have a passion for finding innovative solutions that provide quality affordable housing options for both residents and communities alike.” He further adds that they are thrilled about bringing new affordable housing opportunities to Woodbridge.
