Swenson, a development and construction firm based in San Jose, has recently received entitlement approval for its senior housing project in Los Gatos. The assisted living community will be located at 15860 Winchester Blvd. and will consist of 18 memory care units and 107 assisted living units.
According to Swenson president Case Swenson, the company’s vision for this project is to revitalize the Winchester Blvd. area while also preserving the neighborhood’s character. The design of the project aims to evoke a hillside estate ambiance with an Italian Revival influence, incorporating asymmetry for visual interest.
The senior housing project in Los Gatos will feature two separate dining rooms, a commercial kitchen, a theater room,a library,a spacious great room,and various common-use areas throughout the community.The company emphasizes that enhancing pedestrian experience and integrating with existing neighborhood fabric were key considerations during the design process.
This latest development from Swenson showcases their commitment towards creating high-quality projects that enhance local communities while meeting specific needs like senior housing.
