Finegold Alexander Architects has officially begun construction on the new Academic Building for Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough, MA. This project will add 17,000 square feet of classroom and science lab space to the campus.

AMSA serves students in grades 6-12 from over 30 communities in the Boston area and was seeking improvements to their facilities. Finegold Alexander Architects has been chosen to design a building that aligns with AMSA’s college-focused curriculum while also addressing traffic flow issues on campus.

“We are thrilled to partner with AMSA on this significant project and find creative solutions for their current design challenges,” stated Regan Shields Ives, Principal at Finegold Alexander who leads the K-12 studio. “Our goal is to support their mission of integrity, excellence, and community through innovative and inviting design,” added Christopher Lane, Principal at Finegold Alexander who is also serving as Project Manager for this development.

This groundbreaking marks an exciting milestone for both AMSA and Finegold Alexander Architects as they work together towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance learning opportunities for students without compromising on aesthetics or functionality.
