NovoHydrogen, a green hydrogen developer based in Colorado, has secured a lease for a three-acre site in Frederickson, Washington. The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that this will be the company’s inaugural plant in Washington. The facility at 5304 184th Street E. will house an advanced green hydrogen production system featuring electrolyzers, compressors and storage.

In September of this year, NovoHydrogen successfully raised nearly $23.7 million from 16 investors. Additionally, the company was recently chosen by the U.S Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) to enter into negotiations for the development of a Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub project which is expected to receive up to $1 billion in funding from bipartisan infrastructure legislation. This funding will support NovoHydrogen’s involvement with planning and design as well as obtaining necessary permits and equipment procurement for their participation in the Hydrogen Hub initiative.
