GAF Energy, a leading manufacturer of solar energy shingles, has recently completed construction on its second manufacturing facility. The new 450,000-square-foot building in Georgetown will have an annual production capacity of 250 MW for the solar shingles. It is expected to be fully operational by the end of this year.

This latest addition to GAF Energy’s production capabilities joins their existing 50-MW factory in San Jose, California. With a total manufacturing capacity now reaching 300 MW, GAF Energy has become the largest producer of solar roofing worldwide.

The company began hiring earlier this year and has already brought on over 75 employees for various roles including manufacturing, supply chain management and logistics. At full capacity in Georgetown alone, GAF Energy plans to employ more than 240 individuals. Their Timberline Solar line stands out as it seamlessly integrates solar technology into traditional roofing processes and materials.
